and those who have no might he increases strength
even the youths shall faint and be weary
and the young men shall utterly fall
but those who wait on the lord
shall renew their strength
they shall mount up on wings like eagles
they shall run and not be weary
they shall walk and not faint (isaiah 40:29-31).
and the previous weeks'
the lord is near to those who have a broken heart
and saves those who have a contrite spirit
many are the afflictions of the righteous
but the lord delivers him out of them all (psalm 34:18-19).
therefore do not cast away your confidence
which has great reward. for you have need of
endurance, so that after you have done the will
of god, you may receive the promise:
for yet after a little while,
and he who is coming will come and will not tarry
now the just shall live by faith
but if anyone draws back
my soul has no pleasure in him (hebrews 10:35-38).
